No matter which direction you take, the Berliner Republic is surrounded by German history. Four houses further down the Schiffbauerdamm you will find the world famous Berliner Ensemble, where Bertolt Brecht celebrated many successes. The famous revue theatre, Friedrichsstadtpalast, the Berlin Cabaret Distel and the Admiralspalast are also close by.

The term “city pub” is due to our central location. The Berlin Republic is situated in the new government district, only a few minutes away from the Reichstag, the Members of Parliament offices and the television studios. You can easily walk to the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin`s famous landmark, and from there down the beautiful Unter den Linden boulevard.

Checkpoint Charlie, the notorious border to the former Communist East Berlin in the Friedrichstrasse, the shopping malls of the Galleries Lafayettes, the Berlin Cathedral, the museum island, Oranienburg Street, the old jewish synagogue and the Hackeschen courtyards are all just a stone`s throw away.
